Location: In Person at either Huron, Brookings, or Aberdeen branch location.

Job Summary:
Take the next step in your career by joining our Marketing Team and helping us make a difference in our members’ financial journeys. Under the direction of the VP of Marketing, the Social Media Marketing Assistant will provide general assistance and support to the Marketing Department. Position will maintain the credit union’s social media platforms and assist the department in layouts, promotions, website maintenance, forms and task management, and event coordination.
Expectations:
- Manage the Credit Unions social media including but not limited to Facebook, Linked In, Instagram and YouTube accounts.
- Coordinate social media content and advertising efforts with departments and supervisors as needed.
- Align social media management with overall marketing goals.
- Develop or update standard layouts and layouts for event posters with InDesign.
- Provide SWAG/Trinket art support.
- Utilize Canva animation (Motion) for creation and design according to marketing branding standards and goals.
- Resizing and editing promotional ads.
- Implement website updates through HubSpot.
- Maintenance of HubSpot email lists and assist with reporting.
- Assist the credit union and marketing department with planning and completing events.
- Create content and manage the credit union’s BLOG.
- Update credit union forms and material to meet department and credit union branding standards and design goals.
- Responsible for credit union business card layout and ordering as needed.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
Qualifications:
A two-year college or trade school degree in InDesign or Digital Marketing; A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience or formal certification with InDesign is required. Equivalent experience in graphic design software, web design, and social media marketing may be substituted for the degree.
Applicant must have a valid driver’s license in the event that their services are needed at another branch location. Applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Applicant must be bondable and pass a background check.
Skills:
- Ability to design, interpret, and implement new designs and changes in existing layouts.
- Proficiency in programs such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, and the general public.
- Aptitude for creating publishing schedules and utilizing media platforms.
- Ability to organize projects and to prioritize workflow, and to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately.
- Possess organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to occasionally lift/transport up to 25 pounds at a time. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time. Environment is primarily indoor but also requires assisting with outdoor events. Must be able to perform duties in uncontrolled weather conditions including but not limited to high temps, low temps, wind, rain, snow, and ice.
