Position Summary
The Human Resources Retention Specialist will have primary responsibilities in a variety of human resource activities, including but not limited to new hire orientation, arranging presentation and demos, offering manuals and guidelines, and process onboarding paperwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcoming new hired employees and executing engagement plan throughout their onboarding journey at DemKota, managing the end – to end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for the new employees and smooth start into their roles, demonstrating our CATTLE values.
- Preparing and distributing onboarding packets and materials
- Administering DemKota’s policy’s clearly and employee handbooks that explain DemKota’s operations, rules, and regulations
- Crafting and sending communication with information about the company, onboarding agenda, equipment handover, dress code, parking options, GMPS, safety training and similar items
- Ensuring new hires have adequate equipment, PPE for their assigned roles
- Maintaining all employee lockers, working in dual control for equipment removal, promptly updating records to supply and finance.
- Coordinating onboarding presentations
- Assisting trainers with clerical paperwork and trainer checklist etc.
- Leading all new hires on exercises according to safety and health services protocols
- Auditing data and reporting data/ information according to operational needs
- Aligning new employees with their trainers, leads, supervisors, managers, and their team communicating involvement to all stakeholders
- Serving as the primary point of contact for hiring managers and new hired employees
- Providing reporting and project updates to operational management and staff
- Assisting HR in record keeping, and other HR project assistance and involvement
- Participating in employee recognition and appreciation programs
- Attending weekly HR meetings to provide insight on onboarding/orientation process
- Participating in weekly check ins with HR Supervisor/Manager to ensure communication
- Translating and any other additional task may be assigned in the future
- Prioritizing and managing workload to critical deadlines
- Ensuring compliance with all processes and always maintaining confidentiality
- Upholding CATTLE values in day-to-day interactions with all departments outside of HR and teammates for the goals of retention specialist daily duties
- Answering phone calls, returning phone calls, and help employees with phone calls when needed
- File and organization paperwork in the appropriate location
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bi-lingual in English/Spanish required.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 1-2+ years related experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed including occasional weekends.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Organized, able to handle multiple tasks at one time, with attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly, and progressively to take on new responsibilities.
- Knowledge of Internet software, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and HRIS.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
