DESCRIPTION:The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce and Aberdeen Development Corporation have created a Public Policy Committee to ensure Aberdeen's voice will be heard in Pierre this legislative session. Because both organizations are committed to business advocacy and quality growth for Aberdeen and the surrounding region\, they will be devoting additional time and resources to establish a stronger presence within political and government processes year-round. The goal is to advance sound public policy and promote a stable environment for our business community to flourish.\n\n \n\nIn addition to the establishment of the Public Policy Committee\, the Aberdeen Development Corporation has hired staff to focus on key policy areas including:\n\n	Education\n	Energy\n	Equality\n	Government\n	Health Care\n	Regulation & Taxation\n\n \n\nWeekly legislative briefings\, with Registered Lobbyist Julie M. Johnson\, will take place via Zoom every Thursday from January 12 through March 9 from 1:00-2:00 pm.
