SUMMARY:Ambassador Ribbon Cutting - Area Federal Credit Union Sledding Hill
DESCRIPTION:The snow machine and groomer have arrived and we are ready to make snow for this winter season.  Join us as we cut the ribbon and officially open Area Federal Credit Union Sledding Hill at Baird Park.  \n\n \n\nThis project was made possible through a partnership of the 2024 Leadership Aberdeen class\, Aberdeen Parks\, Recreation and Forestry Department\, Area Federal Credit Union\, Glacial Lakes Energy\, and numerous donors to the project.\n\n\n\nThe goal was to make the sledding hill a safer\, more usable sledding hill for families to use throughout the winter. Having adequate snow on the sled hill is the first step in the process. Once that is completed\, the City hopes to continue investing in a variety of other winter activities at this location including a warming hut\, cross-country ski trail\, outdoor hockey/curling rink\, etc.
