SUMMARY:2020 Full Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Board of Directors represent the business and professional leadership in the community. The board consists of 16 voting members that are each eligible to serve two three-year terms. In addition\, the CVB Board President-Elect and a Board Member of the Aberdeen Development Corporation serve one-year terms.   Serving as non-voting members\, or ex-officios\, to the Board of Directors are representatives from the Aberdeen Downtown Association\, the Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau\, and the Aberdeen Development Corporation.\n\nBoard members set corporate polices and goals and delegate authority to the President to implement such policies and goals in the day-to-day management of the organization.  Board members have no authority to act independently of the full board on policy issues. Board members who abuse their positon this way may be disciplined and censured. Board members are also trustees of the organization who approve an annual budget that ensures it can meet its financial needs.
