SUMMARY:Field to Fork: A Farm to Table Connection
DESCRIPTION:The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce's Agribusiness Committee and the Avera St. Luke's Foundation are working to help build awareness and support for our area Agriculture needs and the Avera Farm and Rural Stress Hotline. \n\n\n\nThis hotline is only possible through the work of philanthropy & grant support and is more important now than ever. Because of this\, we have created Field to Fork: A Farm to Table Connection.\n\n\n\nThis unique event is designed to open conversations between farmers and South Dakotans about food and farming. It will give consumers the chance to share thoughts about food with producers while learning how farmers raise food and work to keep it safe. \n\n\n\nThe focal point of Field to Fork\, thematically and literally\, is the dinner table. As the place where family and friends share in food\, fellowship and conversation\, the dinner table serves as a symbol of open dialogue about food and farming. \n\n\n\nThe menu includes a five-course dining experience\, prepared by Chef Jacob Collins\, that utilizes a variety of products\, sourced locally and throughout South Dakota. Producers will be present for discussion.
